How can I access the Economist or the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) online?

The Dag Hammarskjöld Library provides online access to The Economist and to the Economist Intelligence Unit for current UN Secretariat staff based in New York and on the field, as well as UN staff from some entities in the field.

To access these resources:

1. From the Library's A-Z database list, click the Economist Magazine or EIU link in the and you will be prompted to enter authentication credentials;
2. Install The Economist app or Espresso app; in the app, go to Settings / My account / Log in to enter your UN email to sign in.

**NOTE: As of October 2023, some users are experiencing issues with the app -- the vendor advises to test access first by logging in on economist.com. If you still have issues, please let us know.
