The 10th Emergency Special session was convened by A/RES/377 (V) ("Uniting for peace") of 3 Nov. 1950, A/ES-10/1 (Letter from Qatar) in 1997. The first meeting of the 10th emergency special session was held on 25 April 1997.

On 13 June 2018, the General Assembly adopted a resolution on the Protection of the Palestinian civilian population

On 21 December 2017, the General Assembly adopted a resolution on the Status of Jerusalem.
