The list of Least Developed Countries developed out of a request in A/RES/2724 (XXV) of 15 Dec. 1970.
Information about the list is available from the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs Development Policy and Analysis Division.
The lead UN body concerned with LDCs is the Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and the Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS).
