The Ad Hoc Committee for the Negotiation of a Convention Against Corruption was establilshed by A/RES/55/61 of 4 Dec. 2000.
It was initially named Ad Hoc Committee on the Elaboration of a Convention against Corruption.
The Convention Against Corruption was adopted by A/RES/58/4 of 31 October 2003 and entered into force on 14 December 2005.
The Ad Hoc Committee has not met since its 8th session, held 25-26 January 2006.
