How was the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations established?

The Committee on the Arrangements for Consultation with Non-Governmental Organizations was established by E/RES/3(II) of 21 June 1946.

The name was changed to Council Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations in 1949 and to Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations in 1973.
