Does the Library have newspapers I can browse?
Last Updated: Aug 09, 2016     Views: 62

Visitors to the Dag Hammarskjöld Library and UN Headquarters staff have access to thousands of online newspapers from any computer on the UN Headquarters wireless network without using a password.

For browsing, we recommend PressDisplay, which offers over 2,000 newspapers from 100 countries in 60 languages in an easy-to-read format. Popular titles include:

  • Le Monde
  • The Guardian
  • Wall Street Journal Asia
  • Le Figaro
  • New York Post

The Library also subscribes to the digital version of The New York Times. See how to access it from your home or office (below).

For research or media monitoring, we suggest Factiva (only available in Library) or DAG Discovery.  Both databases allow you to simultaneously search thousands of publications for a particular topic.
