The Repertoire of the Practice of the Security Council has statistics on the types of meetings that have been held.

The Library has identified the following meetings held at the level of head of state or government.

Other meetings may be considered high-level meetings, at the ministerial level, or be atttended by heads of state or government of the state(s) concerned with the situation on the agenda.
