Where can I find agreements between the United Nations and UN Specialized Agencies?
Last Updated: May 30, 2018
Agreements between the United Nations and the Specialized Agencies are available through the Chief Executive Boards (CEB) website.
These agreements are also generally found in the UN Treaty Series available through the UN Treaty Information website under Registration and Publication.
Use the advanced search to find these treaties,
- Select Treaty : Show All Agreements
- Select Participants: UN and the Specialized Agency of interest (for example, UNESCO)
- Select the button Match all these values
More treaties, letters, memoranda of understanding, and other agreements between the UN and specialized agencies can be found in the United Nations Juridical Yearbook. Chapter two of the Juridical Yearbook contains treaty provisions concerning the legal status of the United Nations and related Intergovernmental Organizations. This is a good place to look for any additional or subsequent agreements not published in the treaty series.
See also, ST/LEG/4, an early publication which contains texts of many of these agreements.
